Trip to Bali -- Part 4

Ubud is another must to visit place in Bali. A lot of art studios can be found here where you can find b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l artworks.

Famous local delicacies are also located in Ubud:

Babi Guling Bu Oka (Bu Oka's Roasted Pig)

Bebek Bengil (Dirty Duck)
There is no way we can eat 2 dishes in 3-hours visit so we have to try Bebek Bengil on our next trip to Bali. I'm so curious why they call it Dirty Duck. That's just too funny. Talking about our next trip to Bali, we're thinking of staying in Ubud. It's not too busy like Kuta and yet not too quiet like Nusa Dua.

Monkey Forest

Aren't these paintings just too cute? I bought the Owl and the Pig. They'll be perfect for Ethan's room (or my crafting room)
Now I wish that I bought more than two. Oh well . . . may be next time.

Trip To Bali -- Part 3 (Bedugul)

Bedugul is in mountain range so it's a bit cooler than Denpasar area, which I LOVE about it. It takes about 1 1/2 hours drive from our villa at Nusa Dua. The views are simply SpEcTaCuLaR. Greeny and so fresh.

If you do go to Bedugul, please be sure to visit this little cafe called Kafe Tahu (Tofu Cafe). Our driver recommended us to try and we're glad that we did. We (including Ethan) are tofu lover afterall.

Trip to Bali -- Part 2 (Kuta)

Here are some pictures of us in Kuta, which is the most popular tourist area in Bali. Kuta area is very close proximity to Ngurah Rai International Airport. If you're looking for a night live, then this would be the ideal place for staying and hanging out. It's, however, not recommended for a young family like ours.

Discovery Mall, the only beach front shopping mall in Bali. The beach view is simply breath-taking.

Strolling Kuta Street

Kuta Beach -- Ethan's 1st time being on a beach.

The weather has not been cooperating with us. It has been cloudy and raining everyday. Good thing that it's not like Vancouver where it rains the whole day and the next day and so on. In Indonesia, rain tends to go heavily for half an hour to an hour and stop. But it does cause some flooding in some areas.

Trip to Bali -- Part 1

I'm back!!!

We just came back from our little trip to Bali yesterday afternoon. It was a nice family vacation. Being on a plane is a piece of cake for Ethan now. He giggled and smiled during the flight, a total different experience from our trip to Singapore. I guess he's already warmed up and got used to being on a plane.

We stayed at Bali Desa, a nice newly renovated 2-bedroom villa, perfect for a small family like us. The rate was surprisingly cheap as it's low season now and we got a 'local' instead of tourist rate.

Now, after a week of absence, I need to get back in making cards and tags.

More Bali pictures tomorrow :-)
