Creations of the Week - Teabag Holder for Baby Shower

Last week I was contacted by a client who wondered if I could make her teabag holders in pink. She will need them for her baby shower.

That's how I spent last weekend. Shopping for the papers and completing this custom order over the weekend while at the same time spending my days with my family.

30 teabag holders in bubblegum pink.

I usually use patterned papers for my teabag holders as they would have designs of some sort. But I really like these too. They are made of cardstock (textured) and just as lovely as those made from patterned papers. My client wanted these done plain because she would like to add a 2x2 sticker in the center. I could only imagine that it'll be just perfect when she adds the sticker on.

Happy Friday!

Sweet Card for Sweet Girl -- Part 2 (Final)

The past couple of days had been about cutting, stitching, and gluing. I started working on this custom order last week (read here).

Cutting papers.

Dry-embossing papers and punching.

Cutting felts and hand-stitching them. Adorned cute buttons.

Each of 45 cards are machined-stitched all around.

And it's time for some gluing. At the same time, I tried to keep the 2 years old busy, but most of the time he keeps me busy. :-)

And they're all done!! Just in time for me to move on to my other 'task' which I'll share with you soon. But don't be excited, cause I'm not. It's has nothing to do with cardmaking, unfortunately.

Anyway, going back to these sweet cards I made. Here they are....

Each is just too cute and darling, isn't it? Details ... and details ... I didn't really realize that much until I had to make 45 of them :-) The small rectangle in the right bottom corner is left blank as the client may want to put the guest names there ... or the girl's name. It's for Christening occasion by the way. Pretty neat for the Mom to think outside the box. These are not just regular cards you can find in brick & mortar stores.
And they're placed in resealable plastic sleeve, carefully packed and will be shipped tomorrow.

I would love to hear what you think of them. :-)

Sweet Card for Sweet Girl -- Part 1

This week big project is to make 45 of these sweet cards for a client based in Europe (I love international buyer!).

Papers and cardstocks will used are from my favorites brands: Making Memories, K&C, and Bazzill.

You know how I love felts!

And of course, buttons! They just add cuteness to everything. :-)

These are just raw materials right now and I'll be soon do the cutting, stitching (machine and hand stitching), punching, embossing, gluing, etc. I'll be sure take more pictures as I'm working on them.

Happy Weekend!

Holiday Photo Cards

I've done many custom orders before and I enjoyed everyone of them. The last custom order that I got involving photos. Now, that's different. I know that there are a lots of photo cards out there but not many with scrapbooking handmade style.

When a customer of mine asking me about creating holilday cards with having her daughter picture in it, I took the challenge! This would just be like scrapbooking, lol, only in a smaller scale.

Beautiful and fun holiday patterned papers are used, along with bazzill cardstocks as the base. As always, I use high quality materials.

And voila!! That's the picture of Ethan :-) I'd like to keep my customers' privacy.

Tis Christmas Custom Order

Just quickly popping by before I put Ethan to bed. This weekend I completed a custom order on top what I had in the shop (Winter Wonderland set of cards above). Below are 6 more cards with similar theme.

And these adorable holiday tags.

I'll be working on a new project tonight. Can't wait to share with you!

140 Bookmarks

A few days I blogged about this custom order that I have to complete. Read here. Now they are completed! Honestly, I'm more pleased with the result than what I would have expected when they were in a design stage. I hope my client feels the same way.

Details are involved in a subtle way. The machine stitching, ball chain, eyelet, rhinestone, and shimmery gold-edge ribbons are all added to create an elegant bookmark.

Beautiful bookmarks made with metallic treasure gold, lithos brown, and missed silvery cardstocks and patterned papers chosen by my wonderful client. She is just so great to work with.

I worked on these on wee hours, talking to my DH on skype (thanks to today's technology), accompanied me on the other side of the world so I did not have to feel so lonely at night.

I just have to share the finished products with him through here as he won't be able to see them in person.

I Love Custom Order!

If you visit my Adore By Nat shop, you'll notice that I don't list as frequent as I used to. I'm currently occupied with this custom order.

Can you tell what I'm making?

Bookmarks!

They are just bit and pieces right now. I finish cutting all papers to the right measurement and currently in the sewing stage.

My sewing machine is quite small and it's one of the tools that I cannot live without. It's starting to lose its strength, mind you it has sewn hundreds and hundreds of papers. Pretty powerful for a small machine and I highly recommend it for crafting. In fact, I bought one for my girlfriend at work. But it's time for me to move to the next level. I want to have a REAL sewing machine, one that can sew zig-zag.

Can you imagine what will these bookmarks look like when finished? Stay tuned for my next post on the finishing result!

Now, would you please excuse me. I have some sewing to do.

Bridal Tea Party

Here is a set of 12 teabag holders for a bridal tea party. It's a custom order that I quickly made in between of my big orders. Aren't they pretty?

They are actually not the ones that my client ordered originally. I embarrassed to say, but I was planning to work on her teabag holders late at night, thought that I need to do it as I don't have much time before my departure to Canada. In combination of being tired and the wee hours, I made a terrible mistake. I cut the paper a half inch short and it was the last paper I had. Oops!

So I went back to her and asked her to choose a different design of patterned paper. She chose this gorgeous paper by Chatterbox, one of my old time favorites of paper product lines. I simply love their designs: clean and sleek.

I surely hope that my client loves these teabag holders.

They will go on the mail on Tuesday.

Completed Orders

Hooray!! 2 custom orders are completed. Still, there are a couple more custom orders to do along with the regular cards and tags to list in my shop and I'm glad that these things keep me real busy :-) I got a chance to make these bird tags this afternoon. Aren't they adorable? I have listed them in my shop. The stuffy nose and sore throat are still with me though they are not as bad as a couple of days ago. I'm getting better slowly but surely I hope :-)

Work in Progress

The weather has been kind of crazy. Ethan had fever early last week. Though the fever did not last long, he ended up having flu. Poor boy! He's been coughing and has running nose. I, myself, is not much better. I have sore throat and feel pretty beaten up right now. I force myself to keep working on my orders but it certainly is not good for the body.

Last night while I put Ethan to sleep, I ended up felt asleep myself. Usually, 30 minutes cat napping is all I need and I continue working on my stuff until 1 am. It's a different story last night. I slept through and woke up around 2 am. There is no way I start working around those hours so off I went back to continue my sleep. Feeling guilty? Somewhat but I felt much better in the morning though the sickness has not gone away 100%

Here are the custom order I'm currently working on. Papers had been cut, embossed and stitched. What's left to do are adhering the onesies and papers together, tying a ribbon and they're done.

Now, off I go for a nap. My body really needs it.
