Books Reading

I've been buying children books lately for Ethan.

I buy and I buy...

And these are only a portion of them.

At the same time, I bought these craft books at great prices. Too sweet of a deal that I could not pass it by although we all know how on earth can I find a time to make them on top of my cardmaking. The scrapbooking is already on the bottom of my list.

At the very least now, I hope I'll enjoy reading them.

Pause...Breathe...

It was last night that I realized about how good it felt. sitting down in the living room with DH sitting nearby, accompanying Ethan watching one of his favorite sing-along VCDs. This may seem to be just what most families do, but I felt guilty for taking it for granted. Often times, my mind is somewhere else, you know, keep thinking about how many cards I should make to achieve my goals and other tasks that I need to accomplish. I forgot to enjoy the moments.

But last night, I took a pause and thought about what I have in front of me. A loving husband and a wonderful son. It was actually felt really good once I started to be more aware of the moments and not to get stressed out about getting things done. I had given up my nappings (which I LOVED), attempt to work until 11pm or midnight, and wake up at 6am (or earlier if I could).

I thought myself that I should learn to take a pause. So what if things get done a little later? Getting stressed out is actually not very productive. I got more tired at the end.

So this morning, after returning from a store, I took Ethan to the backyard. I had my coffee and Michael's flier while looking at Ethan running so freely in the yard.

That moment is PRECIOUS and I will try my best to remind myself: pause...breathe...

Get Organized

A little organization was necessary to be done yesterday. I've been making cards for every single cards and they start to pile up.

It becomes a little headache if I don't organize it and it'd better be sooner than later. Here is just my way of organizing them, making it easier for me to grab them once they're sold out:
  1. Enclose the card and envelope in a plastic sleeve
  2. Number each card and make sure it is corresponded to the listing. I bought labels and they will for a long time since they are 500 at least in a pack.
  3. Store them in a box :-)

As I'm organizing these new cards, I found a box of Christmas cards that I made a couple of years ago. As I haven't made any new Christmas cards, which I should anytime soon, this will be a great start to list them on my shop.

Mariposa

I've been creating cards lately with butterfly theme.

I use butterfly appliques and they're really for the main touch of the cards.

Hope you like each one of them. Their details are available at my shop.

Purple Wedding Invitations

This week main task was to complete a wedding invitations project. It's for one of my dear friends who is getting married in October.

The bride herself has contributed in the project by designing the monogram and the wordings.

The patterned paper is used in minimal. The purple cardstock is embossed using Big Shots texturz folder.

And it's D.O.N.E!

I Have Big News

This is one of new designs I have that is already listed on my shop. The elephant and phrase are stamps by Hero Arts. Aren't they just the cutest. When I saw them the first time, I had to have them. There are more cute stamps on the set, just can't wait to use them.

Stay tuned for more new designs that I'll post soon.

Have a great day, everyone!
