You + Me

Hello sweet friends! I have an exciting news to share. If you liked my FB page, you probably knew already. I'm honored to be one of Amy Jaz Designs Creative Team members

.Check out her new release: You + Me. I fell in love the first time I saw it.This is a versatile kit, I must tell ya. First I made this card.

Then I said to myself that I should make the 'male' version. He does deserve that, doesn't he?

The calculator really caught my attention. Won't you?

And I had to make another card. It's so hard for not to :-)

When I said versatile, it's really is!! It's perfect for the Christmas theme as well.

Note to self to do some scrapbook pages using this kit. And if you want something quick, Amy also has Quick Pages to grab as well.

First Day of School Banner

Hello everyone,
Popping in to share one of the projects that I had last weekend: First Day of School Banner.

Primary colors are chosen. By the way, I've been working with primary colors lately, colors that are not usually in my pallettes. Buy hey, I came to love them! Bright and cheerful!

Perfect for boys and girls.

Actually, this is a banner requested by one of my sweet clients. She is going to use it as a prop as she take pictures of her children on the 1st day of school in September. Brilliant!

You can also make this banner yourself. Get these pretty images from JW Illustrations.

Such cute cliparts that you can do so many things with them. When I took the above picture, I imagined that I could make a journal/ notebook with this as the book cover. It'll SO cute!

And there you have it, my friends, the whole banner in 4 strands. Wish I could put them up for a better picture. I guess the best picture will be when they are held by the 2 children these were made for.

Happy Birthday Banner

This past weekend, among taking the time to bring in-laws who just came from abroad for a city tour, I took whatever spare time I had to make this custom banner. I'm grateful that I have such awesome clients, including this special client who is so easy to please :-) She let me do my thing with a minimal specific requests.

I really hope she likes this banner I made for her daughter's birthday party.

I enjoyed so much making this adorable banner. It's colorful and cheerful, adorned with pretty ribbons. You can be sure that you will see more banners here.

My Creative Space - Family Shadow Box

I had a pleasure working on another shadow box (here to see the 1st one I made). This time, it's for birthday girl with a theme not so much on birthday.

The mom wants this to be more about FAMILY, hence the pictures of the birthday girl and her sisters. The parents holding hands picture was shot from behind and was actually an important part of this keepsake. Mom said that this is a symbol that they aka parents will always support them and watch over them. Isn't that neat?

My Creative Space

I was busy making these cute felt onesie cards. I simply love working with felt. Handstitching each onesie does take time but I really love the result.

Adding a cute little button to each, and doing some dry-embossing to create a subtle and yet powerful 3D effect to each card.

And of course it won't be complete without the stitching all around :-)

My Creative Space

I received a custom order of 40 favor bags. It's for a repeat client. Love the fact that my clients loved what I made for them and they came back :-)

The original idea came from this favor bag, but you know... I LOVE custom orders!

These are great for bridal shower, wedding favor, baby shower and baby baptism. You can fill the bag with candies or in this case, almonds.

Since she needs to fill the bags with almonds, I would need to let her to do the final assembling. I think she's going to have fun doing it. Don't you?

Creation of the Week: Cute Tags

Great tags that you can use for any occasions.

Mr. & Mrs. scrabble love tags are great to attach to party favors. Maybe for wedding or bridal shower?

Cute birdie tags, maybe?

They are available at my shop.

My Birdies On Treasuries

It feels so nice knowing others discover what you make and like them. What makes it even better is that they take the time to create a treasury and include yours in it.

The last couple of days, two days in a row, I was informed that my card and tag made into treasuries. Isn't that nice? Being a part of those talented artists feels so great.

I just LOVE this treasury.
I feel honored to be in the same treasury as those of whose works I admire. These papercraft artists inspired me. Each has their own style that by just looking at their cards, for example, I know who made them. LOL. Maybe because I visit their shop quite often and drool over their gorgeous goodies.

Handmade Paper Craft - Tea Bag Holder

I recently sold two set of tea bag holders. That means I have to make a few more sets as I'm kind of low in stock. Above is the newest set, available at my AdoreByNat shop. They look so lovely, making the tea time experience much more enjoyable!

Tags...Tags and Tags

Just want to share with you some tags that I've been working on lately. I made a few batches at once and why didn't I think about that long time ago. Duh! But now I'm facing a new problem. I need to figure out away to store them in a way that nice to look at and at the same time well-organized. I'm running out of boxes too.

And look who is tagging the ant?

It looks that more and more of them in the backyard lately. I'm just afraid that Mocha will step on them while he's doing his business. I, myself, am not dare to walk in the backyard with Ethan for now. They're just everywhere.

Birdie in Tag

My newly created tag involving felt and birds. Quite Colorful, eh? Hope you love 'em! The bird is handcut and handstitched.

I use the new ribbons and they're definitely gorgeous!

I made two for each designs. Two is better than one, don't you think? :-) Stay tuned for more of my tags.

A Baby Accordion Album

For a while I've been meaning to try to make an accordion album, but it never happened as there have always been other paper crafts that 'prevent' me for making one. You know, when you have so many ideas that you want to try out, you tend to make one over and over again with a little tweak here and there and somehow the other thing on your must-to-try-out-list is kind of slip away.

According to Chinese calendar, last Sunday was my mom-in-law's birthday. That morning my husband informed me that we're going out for dinner that night to celebrate her birthday. A birthday card, is that suffice? I could not get out to buy her present. It's too last minute.

I then had a great idea. An album of Ethan, her first grandchild, will put a smile in her face. But I don't have an album to start with, plus to fill a whole album will take more than a day. So, an accordion album came to mind. And here it is:

I only had hours to finish it. Stressful? Yes, somewhat. I was happy with the result though I probably could do better if I have more time. But to see my mom-in-law's smile when she opened the album...PRICELESS. I'm sure it made her day.

Funny thing, the next morning, she told me that my dad-in-law wanted to borrow the album to show it off at his workplace. She said no and asked him to get one from me. Eekk! That will have to wait. I'm still working on Ethan's scrapbook album(s) on top of christmas cards that I have make and list real soon at my AdoreByNat store.

More Tea Bag Holders

I made more of tea bag holders for the past 2 days. Just these 3 sets? Well, that's all I could do among doing other stuff. Anyhow, I just love how they turned out using such beautiful patterned papers. Fall is just around the corner. Have a sip after working hard on racking those fallen leaves. Enjoy your afternoon tea, with a friend (or two). Perhaps, you'd rather be by yourself, sitting on your front porch, enjoying the afternoon with a cup of tea. I think you get the idea. :-)

I pack them in a clear plastic bag. Pretty neat, eh! Just add a ribbon once it sold out to a happy customer. Now, I'd better drink my tea :-)

No Internet = Busy Cardmaking

Today, my internet was down for almost the whole day. Arrgrr! I was unable to get on Etsy, not until around 4 pm. Once it's on, first things first, check both of my Etsy stores: Adorebynat and Natsupplies. Check if there is any convos, any new hearts and any sales. Sold 2 items in my supply store, Yei!

Below are some cards and tea bag holders that I made today. These tea bag holders will go with some of my orders. I'll include them to bigger orders, while for a smaller orders will get candies. When packing, I have to watch for the weight too, making sure I don't go over the limit. It's my priority to get them well-packaged.

Once finish this blog of the day, I'm off to do some listings. And tonight, I'm going for a dinner with my hubby. We haven't done this for awhile. Nothing fancy. It's just in the Mall. We have to buy dog food for Mocha and be home by 9pm for Ethan's bedtime. Ethan will stay with my in-laws while we're gone :-)

Tea Bag Holders

I've been brainstorming on what other papercrafts to make in addition to my handmade cards and Tags.

With my recent relocation to Indonesia, I try to bring an exotic flavor to my crafts. Well, funny thing is that I'm introducing an exotic flavor to the world LITERALLY: Indonesian tea by SariWangi, the biggest brand in tea bag segment in Indonesia. But with a twist! It's packed nicely in my papercraft holder. Isn't that a brilliant idea? Well may be not so much :-), but at the very least, it's such a sweet idea.

Who doesn't love tea? In fact, tea is the world's favorites beverage, after water.

Have friends come over for a tea party. Have a cup of tea and eat those scrumptious cakes, whether there is a lot of catching up to do or simply to enjoy each others company.

These sweet tea bags cover are also great for favors or gifts. Wedding, Bridal Shower, Baby Shower, Birthday, etc.

And if you're a seller, enclose it with your order. I'm sure it'll bring a bigger smile when they open your package.

The result, you'll be the judge!

The last set shown above is in a Fall theme. After all, Fall season is just around the corner. Imagine how it would look great for your thanksgiving dinner.

Each tea bag holder measures 3" x 2" x 0.5" (7.6cm x 5.1cm x 1.3cm)
Tea bags are included!

Want 'em? Come over to my Etsy store.

I accept constructive feedback. So feel free to make a comment.
