Birdie in a Branch
Aren't they tweet and cute?
I certainly can't get enough of these little birdies and I hope you don't too. :-)
My DH has arrived in Toronto safely today and it was nice hearing his voice. He's been updating me on where he was through out the trip. It's such a long trip. He flew from Surabaya, Indonesia to Hongkong (5 hours), stayed for about 10 hours or so and then continued his flight to San Fransisco (11 hours or so). He stayed overnight there and then flew again to Toronto (for another 5 hours). Yupe, it's that long.
I will be leaving Indonesia in a month. I don't know how I can survive (well, I will!) being on the plane for many hours with an 18 months active toddler. The way I look at it is hey, I was in labor for 12 hours. It was not a pleasant experience but it has to end at certain point (and it did) and so will with this long dreaded trip, I would say. Now, that makes me better. LOL.

Dish It Up
A little twist from my original delicious country look tags. Just simply change the buttons and voila ... you get a slight different kind of taste :-)
Enjoy!
I only have 3 set of 5 available due to limited patterned paper. Once they're gone, they're gone. You can get them at my Adore By Nat shop.

Featured Seller: NaomiKimhi
One of reasons I love selling craft supplies on Etsy is that I am able to provide cute and adorable appliques in reasonable prices. I love to see how people co-operate these appliques into their creations. I only have 2 hands and am already busy enough making cards and tags not to mention my FT job being a Mom to a 17mos toddler. So...let creative people on Etsy do the job :-)
One of my wonderful buyers is Naomi Kimhi. She is in Netherlands and ship worlwide. Using apppliques for hairclips is one GREAT idea, but using them for a key chain? Now, that's BRILLIANT! I would never thought of that on my wildest dream. Didn't I say we have so many talented artists on ETSY? Surely Naomi is one of them.

So....has Naomi inspired you to make your own? Go to my NatSupplies shop to get appliques. Or if you are like me, a busy person who is always on the go and have so much things on hand already, then getting them from her shop, NaomiKimhi, may be a good idea :-)

This and That
It has been cutting paper day today. I slowly working on the pink favor custom order, 160 favors in total. There is a left over of unused papers and I need to put on my thinking cap on how to use them up. I hate wasting papers. Sometimes I end up wasting time trying to save a teeny tiny paper. LOL.
Aside from working on custom orders, I continue making random cards including this felt bird and its tree.
I bought this set of Souffle pens a couple of days. It says it's for cardmaking and scrapbooking. We'll see what I can do with them :-) They surely looks 'delicious', don't they?
These cute bunnies I discovered last week. If you can't resist them, you can get them at my NatSupplies shop. For $2.50, what's to lose? If you love making hairclips, then this is going to be a perfect project for it.

Snooping Around
Just want to share some pictures of my little guy snooping around. He loves to play with my (or his?) jars that I use to keep my circle felts.
He opens my drawer, which I only allow him just this one, grabs the jars, puts them down on the floors or asks someone to spin them for him.
He also snoops into my purse :-)
while his big brother (the furry one) keeps an eye on him.
Simply PRICELESS, I would say!

It's Saturday.
While most people are excited that it's Saturday... well for me, it's not much different than any other days. Perhaps, it's because I don't have a monday-to-friday job like others have or like I used to have. In fact being able to go out in any day I want, I hate doing groceries shopping on the weekend. It's just too crowded and I hate long line-up.
I went to Post Office this morning and there is no line-up :-) I guess people do not go to post office on weekend.
I got home and took picture of my cellphone straps. Many colors are available and I plan to get more of different colors. What good about my straps *bragging* is that they come with lobster clasp and reasonably priced. You can find them at my NatSupplies shop.
I also got a chance taking picture of Ethan watching TV seriously :-) But this seriousness and sitting still only last a few minutes as he is rather being kept busy with his curiosity and moving around keeping mommy busy too.

Completed Orders
Hooray!!
2 custom orders are completed. Still, there are a couple more custom orders to do along with the regular cards and tags to list in my shop and I'm glad that these things keep me real busy :-)
I got a chance to make these bird tags this afternoon. Aren't they adorable? I have listed them in my shop.
The stuffy nose and sore throat are still with me though they are not as bad as a couple of days ago. I'm getting better slowly but surely I hope :-)

Under the Weather
I'm definitely under the weather now. I tried to fight it but I must admit that the coughing and running nose are just getting worse that I have to take medicine to reduce the pains.
I couldn't resist of taking a nap here and there, but at the same time my mind was thinking of completing customs orders and making more cards in order to continue listing frequently.
My little one is such a trooper, compared to me, I'm a wuss :-) He's been eating and sleeping normally though I know he was not feeling well.
The good news is that he is getting much better! :-) But I really hate the fact that I cannot kiss him. Not giving the germs to him is a priority.

Work in Progress
The weather has been kind of crazy. Ethan had fever early last week. Though the fever did not last long, he ended up having flu. Poor boy! He's been coughing and has running nose. I, myself, is not much better. I have sore throat and feel pretty beaten up right now. I force myself to keep working on my orders but it certainly is not good for the body.
Last night while I put Ethan to sleep, I ended up felt asleep myself. Usually, 30 minutes cat napping is all I need and I continue working on my stuff until 1 am. It's a different story last night. I slept through and woke up around 2 am. There is no way I start working around those hours so off I went back to continue my sleep. Feeling guilty? Somewhat but I felt much better in the morning though the sickness has not gone away 100%
Here are the custom order I'm currently working on. Papers had been cut, embossed and stitched. What's left to do are adhering the onesies and papers together, tying a ribbon and they're done.
Now, off I go for a nap. My body really needs it.

My Birdies On Treasuries
It feels so nice knowing others discover what you make and like them. What makes it even better is that they take the time to create a treasury and include yours in it.
The last couple of days, two days in a row, I was informed that my card and tag made into treasuries. Isn't that nice? Being a part of those talented artists feels so great.
I just LOVE this treasury.
I feel honored to be in the same treasury as those of whose works I admire. These papercraft artists inspired me. Each has their own style that by just looking at their cards, for example, I know who made them. LOL. Maybe because I visit their shop quite often and drool over their gorgeous goodies.

Party Favor in Pink
If you've been reading my blog, you know that I've been busy making baby girl christening invitations.
So what kind of favors that match the invitations? How about these? More pictures can be found on my Flickr.
This big favor is about 4" x 4.25" The dress applique is just too adorable.
The idea started out with my teabag holder as below. Unfortunately is a little bit too small for my clients to put her goodies.
What is next on my to-do-list is to make party favor in blue...for BOYS!

Bird in a Branch
Aren't they adorable?
I've been quite occupied these last couple of days with custom and wholesale orders. I originally planned to work on my son's scrapbooked album but again ... *sigh* it has to wait.
My business is taking off now and I really hope this busyness will be steady although I sometimes get stressed out with deadlines. It has been awhile that I don't work on deadlines since Oct 2007 when I left the corporate world for maternity leave. So, I have to get used to again with multitasking and taking priorities.
I'm not complaining at all. Oh, No! This is a blessing.
I LOVE reading the quit your day job articles on Storque. I'm inspired with those Etsian sellers who quit their day job and solely focus on their business. I wish that someday I can be like them. Although I'm a stay-at-home-mom now, I will eventually have to go back to a day job when I return to Canada. Having my shop supporting us financially is not feasible at the moment but it doesn't mean it's impossible.
I believe with persistence and belief in your products, success can be achieved. Hardwork is also a must. I love my sleeping time and I thought I really need it, even my napping times Lol, at least it felt like that when there was no business. But when the business picked up, I feel that I must work and work.
See you all next time as I need to go back working on my orders. :-)

Trio Felted Flowers
I've been busy for the last couple of days with wholesale and custom orders while trying to clear my inventory at the same and filling up my shop at the same time. In addition, I have to keep my personal life in balance. There are a few goals that I have to achieve before relocating to Toronto. So much to do, so little time we have.
Hope you enjoy these trio felted flowers. Details details details.
